Welcome to Kendi Iron Works, where over four decades of dedication and craftsmanship converge to create exceptional custom iron works. Founded in 1982, we have established ourselves as a trusted name in the industry, known for our unparalleled quality and innovative designs. Our commitment to excellence is evident in every piece we create, from robust security gates to intricate ornamental railings.

Now in its second generation of family ownership, Kendi Iron Works has been a leader in custom-crafted ornamental and security iron works since 1982. Our products are featured prominently across Manhattan and all five boroughs of New York City.

Under the direction of our in-house designers and engineers, our skilled craftsmen create custom solutions in steel, cast iron, aluminum, stainless steel, and brass, as well as other materials and mediums. As the sole manufacturer of the Kendi® and Sunshine Gate® security and fire exit gates, we combine functionality, aesthetics, and peace of mind.

We proudly serve a diverse clientele, including private clients, property managers, developers, schools, the television and entertainment industry, and nonprofits. We also serve public sector agencies including MTA, DOT, SCA, and others.
